As you all know I have been teaching for Paul Green’s School of Rock, Swallow Hill Music Association and Music Together for group/private Vocal, Piano and Guitar instruction. Since March 2010, I have been fronting the house band Thursday evenings at McKinner’s Open Jam. These Thursday rock sessions brought me to my current collaboration with White Collar Criminal. We’re a delightful blend of vocals, guitar, percussion, fiddle and upright bass. Just the kind of summer gig you want for your venue. We cover everything under the sun from Jazz standards, funk, folk, rock, pop etc…along with bringing our own originals to the table.
Currently I am performing with The White Collar Criminal. We’re a collaboration of music degree’s in full force. Desiree Hirschfield (fiddle) is a full time private violin instructor. Dean Hirschfield (percussion) is a freelance percussionist in the Denver area. Stephan Hume (guitar/vocals) runs the successful Rock n’ Roll school Band Dynamics. Na’im McKee (Upright Bass) is a Business Process Analyist for MoneyGram International.
Gia Ashe and the White Collar Criminal will be debuting at McKinner’s Pizza Bar April 24th 9pm. There is great food, beer and company all night. No cover. Come spend a warm Spring evening with us listening to resonating vocal harmonies and waves of melodic instrumentation. It shall be lovely.

Since April I have been substitute teaching at Paul Green’s School of Rock Music Denver.
As of September 2009 I have been hired on as a regular teacher. I will be teaching private lessons in guitar, piano and voice. Working at Rock School has been a blast. The staff is great and as luck would have it I get to work with one of my fellow peers from Berklee.
This should be a busy, fun Fall!

This fall I will be teaching Guitar 2-A group class for adults at Swallow Hill Music Association.
Aside from teaching I will be performing at local venues here in Denver. You can catch me at the Meadow Lark on Tuesday evening @ 9pm, at Ziggies Saloon Thursday evenings @ 8pm for their open stage and every Wednesday at 8pm I host a Pub Quiz at Dewey’s Bar and Grill in Littleton for Geeks Who Drink.
